The Vera Wang gang came through during New York
Fashion Week, showcasing a twist on one of the most trendy hairstyles:
the bob. While some of the models rocked their shoulder length
haircuts, the others achieved the same look with a faux bob.
I love shorter hair but I know most women aren’t as courageous as me
when it comes to chopping it off. They say “A woman that cuts her hair
is about to change her life,” but if you’re not about that cut life then
I have a great hair styling hack for you. Whether you are looking to
test drive a new look or spice up your long tresses I will show you how
to get the look of short hair without getting one strand cut.
When gathering the hair to tuck it in, you can make a very loose
ponytail. Be sure to make sure the ponytail holder is thin and is low
enough that it won’t show.
Lightly lift the hair that is tucked in just a little bit.
The key to pulling off this look is leaving some strands untucked to
give the illusion of shorter hair. Once the hair is tucked in, gently
pull free some strands towards the front and top of your head.
This look may be easy to achieve but don’t be afraid to try something
different to take it to the next level. For instance, you can add some
loose curls to the strands of hair in the front. You can also add a
braid or some hair accessories to really take it up a notch.
Check out the final look, below! Beauties, will you try this look? If you do, use the hashtag #SoBeautiful for a chance to be featured on our Instagram page.
