The US Military Changes Hairstyle Regulations.

After considerable controversy regarding their racially insensitive hairstyle policy, the US Military has backtracked. While back in April the military banned hairstyles like twists and cornrows from women on active duty as “exaggerated” and not keeping to the essential point of being efficient and effective, those styles have now been remitted into acceptance by the Army, Navy and Air Force. The words “matted” and “unkempt” have also been removed from the document; they were once used to describe hairstyles like locs and cornrows. (The Fashion Spot)
