- Eva Mendes’s latest project is an eight-piece bridesmaids collection
for New York & Company. Hitting stores and online January 2015,
the line-up includes dresses and accessories from $22 to $119. “An important day needs a special dress,” she said in a statement. “I love this collection for weddings and other special events. Feel great and dance the night away!” (Hollywood Reporter)

- Giambattista Valli is quite the busy man. With his ready to wear
line Giambattista Valli, his couture offshoot, duties for Moncler and
even his new, younger brand Giamba, he’s designing over a half a dozen
collections per year. And now he’s added to that with a spring
collaboration for Seven For All Mankind. The line will include
high-waisted jeans, dressy t-shirts, a minidress and a jacket delivered
in February and May available in Seven For All Man Kind stores. As for
now this is a one-off project. (WWD)
- Ralph Rucci has left his names sake label due to “creative differences”
with the current CEO. CEO Current CEO Joey Laurenti has been in his
role since May. Reports say that Rucci will be replaced before the year
ends. The designer was America’s first couturier. (The Daily)
- In case you needed to add some vintage Chanel in your closet, Nasty
Gal has you covered. In what probably should be described as a coup of
sorts, the online retailer has a collection of over 250 vintage Chanel
pieces from the ’80s and early 90’s with prices ranging between $500 and
$5,000. It’s a pretty penny but it is vintage Chanel. (Teen Vogue)
- Calvin Klein is in hot water over its latest ad campaign. The brand’s lingerie ads, entitled “Perfectly Fit”,
depict Myla Dalbesio as a curvier counterpart to the likes of Ji Hye
Park, Lara Stone, and Jourdan Dunn. The problem for many: at size 10,
Dalbesio isn’t curvy enough and totally not plus sized. The main problem
with their complaint: Calvin Klein never actually called her curvy or
plus-sized.(Style Blazer)
