Fashion Scoop: Kanye West and Damon Dash To Buy Karmaloop, Tom Ford Is Working On Second Film, Amazon To Possibly Buy Net-A-Porter.


  • Kanye West is taking another step into the fashion industry, this time with a purchase.  The artist has teamed up with hip hop mogul Damon Dash in order to buy out the bankrupt Karmaloop. It’ll be interesting to see what direction they take it. (MTV)

  • Remember watching Ellar Coltrane grow up on “Boyhood?” Well you’ll be able to watch him for quite a bit longer. The actor has just signed with Wilhelmina Models and has spreads in V Man, L’Uomo Vogue, i-D and Paper magazines. (Page Six)

  • I was a huge fan of Tom Ford’s debut directorial work in “A Single Man.” So to hear that he was already working on his second firm titled “Nocturnal Animals,” was a welcome event. Expect some stylish cast members like George Clooney, Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal. (Details)

  • Talk about product placement. McDonald’s Sweden has just announced a new line of Big Mac  themed clothing. Yes, you read that right. Big Mac themed. So think tees, shorts, hoodies and leggings with photos of Big Macs plastered all over. Bon appetit! (Gawker)

  • Amazon seems to be making it’s move on fashion.  After backing the inaugural New York Men’s Fashion Week, apparently the company is in talks to buy out Net-A-Porter. The rumored figure is $2.2 billion. We’ll see how that goes. (Fashionista)
