Indoor cycling is literally a world in its own.
Spinning has taken over Hollywood and is all the rave with some of the hottest celebrities. We rounded up nine things you probably didn't know were true about your average spin class!
If you're considering taking a spin class for the first time, forget any horror stories you've heard and check out our nine facts. And if you're already a spin pro, you might feel reassured that you aren't the only one feeling one of these nine ways!
1. It's not as intimidating as it seems
Everyone is in the same boat and there is no judging. You will make it out it one piece! There's no need to dread it.
If you're worried about being the only newbie, don't! More often than not, there are a handful of first time riders in each class.
Yes it will give an extra kick to your weight loss goals, but it's also good for your mental health and any overall anxiety.
You'll quickly learn that you have a favorite instructor that you work the best with, and have a similar taste in music with!
If you go in doubting yourself, you won't get the results that you want. Go into class with determination and a goal in mind.
You'll notice that after your first few classes your butt hurts, badly. And we hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that's not necessarily a "my butt is getting toned from spin class" sore. It's literally sore from the bike seat. But that goes away, promise.
The more accurate you are with changing your resistance accordingly during class, the more calories you will burn and the quicker you will feel results Yes, it hurts, but isn't that way you're there?
Don't hold onto to tension during class. It will distract you too much during your ride. Take this time to let go of any negativity you've had happen recently and you will finish class feeling renewed.
The best part of spinning? It's basically one big dance party.
