Biggest Trends From the Resort 2016 Collections

Resort, Everything is Orange

Oranges & Lemons

Stella McCartney
Frocks in citrus hues were abundant in the 2016 collections, but none embodied the zesty spirit of Resort like Stella McCartney's beautiful flowing gowns. Expect many a starlet to be spotted sashaying along the beach in Ibiza in these beautiful dresses. (Barefoot and sipping on something delicious of course.)

Blumarine
Bright and colorful floral embroidery adorned everything from pretty black slip dresses and crisp white shirts to elegant totes and even sandals. Oscar de la Renta hit the trend on the head, no surprise, but this heavenly tea dress from Blumarine had our hearts.

 Prabal Gurung
If we only treat ourselves to one thing this Resort season it's going to be three geometric shift dresses.
Lilly Pulitzer
Flowers are always a strong feature in resort and the floral maxi is basically the totem for the off-season. Lilly Pulitzer's collection burst with bright tropical delights we'd like to get our hands on.
Lisa Perry
One glance was all it took to know '70s style isn't going anywhere anytime soon. We're mad about Lisa Perry's blue collection.

Thakoon
Hooray for the end of spring's tummy-showing cutout obsession. Resort is all about the sophisticated shoulder reveal. Halter, one shoulder, off the shoulder—we're smitten with them all, especially Thakoon's inspired laced-up shoulder.
Louis Vuitton
Fall's suede obsession got a blue makeover for the Resort collections (and we're not complaining). We're pretty sure there will be a line around the block for Louis Vuitton's covetable patch jacket.
Oscar de la Renta
Sequins are to fashionistas as bananas are to Minions, and yippee—there were a lot in this off-season.  This absolutely is a perfect piece from Oscar de la Renta.
