Fashion Scoop: Caitlyn Jenner Might Be Getting MAC Campaign, Christian Siriano To Collaborate With Lane Bryant, Maxwell Osbourne Gets New Art For DKNY Office
- After a windfall of support from celebrities, media, and fans alike
following her Vanity Fair debut, Caitlyn Jenner is rumored to be up for a
gig at MAC. The brand is supposedly eyeing the star for a spokesperson
deal, making her the second Jenner, after daughter Kendall, to be under
the brand’s umbrella. Having tapped the likes of RuPaul, Ricky Martin
and Elton John in the past, the move wouldn’t be unprecedented. (The Fashion Spot)
- In other beauty news, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez have just
inked a deal that will expand the 13-year-old Proenza Schouler into
fragrance. The young label joins a roster of names like Ralph Lauren,
Giorgio Armani, Yves Saint Laurent and Victor & Rolf, definitely
pitting them against luxury brands. There’s no specific details like
release dates or fragrance notes but just know it’s coming. (Fashionista)
- Last beauty related bullet: Johnny Depp is the new face of Dior
Fragrances. No details about it yet but we’re thinking it’s safe to
assume that this will be for Dior Homme. Maybe Kris Van Assche’s closure
of his namesake was to foreshadow a renewed vigor behind the Dior Homme
brand. The fragrance campaign will be a first for Depp. (Observer)
- As a designer, Christina Siriano is not known to shy away from
dressing an actress because of her size. In fact, he really celebrates
them. So today’s news that he is the latest guest designer for Lane
Bryant is definitely welcome! The collection will range from size 14 to
28 and falls in line with Siriano’s feelings that “fashion should never
be defined by size. (Glamour)
- Last night, the likes of Whoopi Goldberg, Usher, and Robert De Niro
headed to Wall Street to celebrate the Gordon Parks Foundation. While
there, an artist known as JR set up a photo booth and printed out
life-size portraits for guests to take home. Amongst the lucky guests:
Maxwell Osbourne and Dao-Yi Chow. Chow said he might even post the
portrait up in the new offices at DKNY. (Style)
