Fashion Scoop: Does Ciara Use Fashion To Stay Relevant?, and Kendall + Kylie For Topshop Available June 3rd
- Gwyneth Paltrow has been serious about her Goop site for a few years
and for the next step in the business, is launching private label
goods. The company has teamed up with the organic skincare company
Juice Beauty in order to launch a skincare range next year. Expect a
color makeup line from the collaboration as well, out later this year. (Business of Fashion)
- When Ciara booked the new Roberto Cavalli campaign, it was call for
jubilee. Our focus — well aside from the singer’s sheer beauty — was
almost solely on diversity being brought to the forefront. Another
writer saw it as a cementing a theory: Ciara maintains her relevance
through the fashion industry. Citing examples like her close
relationship with Riccardo Tisci and Peter Dundas (the latter of whom
gave her that Cavalli) slot, the writer makes quite the argument.
Looking back at CiCi’s last few musical projects, we can’t say we
disagree. (Fusion)
- Another day, another insanely priced Birkin sold. In Hong Kong, a
Hermes Birkin crocodile bag in fuchsia sold for the equivalent to
$223,000 on auction. Prior to this sale, the record was at $203,000.
Where do people even find this money?! (Business of Fashion)
- After teasing sketches on Instagram, Kendall and Kylie Jenner have
debuted all the photos from their Topshop collection, which will hit
Topshop stores, online, and select Nordstrom stores on June 3rd. The
collection includes printed shorts, flared crop tops, sweatshirts, maxi
dresses and more. It comes in at a moderately edited 15 pieces tapping
out at $150. There’s definitely a piece or two that we have our eyes on.
