When Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner do a mall takeover, they do it right! The
sisters virtually shut down Topshop at The Grove in Los Angeles on June
3 for the launch of their signature line with the international
retailer, an event that also included a fan meet-and-greet (lots of
selfies were had, of course). The Jenners' Topshop collaboration announcement came back in February, with the retail giant telling WWD that the collection would hark to the "LA lifestyle and modern, eclectic design aesthetic" that the two style mavens are known for.
E! News' Catt Sadler caught up with the design duo to get the scoop on the inspiration behind their latest fashion collection and to find out if big sisters Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian or Kourtney Kardashian had any input.

"It's very light and flowy, and we based it off the typical
California girl. We love it. It's super easy and summery," Kendall
gushed about the collection, which features shirts, pants, shorts,
jumpsuits and dresses that give a distinctly beach-ready vibe (she also
called it their "off the red carpet" style).
"We don't want to say just for girls from California, obviously," Kylie added. "It's just fun, beachy—really laidback. Nothing too tight or uncomfortable."

Both ladies took selfies with fans before heading into the store,
with Kylie later Instagramming about the experience: "I'm crazy #love,"
she wrote.
"It's really crazy but the [collection] is already sold out online. And it just dropped not long ago," Kendall told Catt of the fan support for the line. (Really: We just checked and there are only three items left!)
The Jenner family is used to gaining public traction, however. The sisters also spoke about Caitlyn Jenner's overwhelming record on Twitter (in case you didn't know, Caitlyn became the fastest growing Twitter account to reach 1 million followers and even surpassed President Barack Obama).
"You joined a day ago and you already have 2 million followers," Kendall said. "That's insane! I mean that's amazing, but insane," she continued. And Kylie shared that Caitlyn called her with the exciting news.
Kylie also spoke about revealing that she'd gotten lip fillers, telling E! News, "It was important, there was so much attention on my lips. I wasn't ready to tell people yet, but it makes me feel better." She added, "Right now people are saying I've had my breasts done, my whole face reconstructed," contending that while she's not against surgery, she doesn't have the desire to get anything else done right now. Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner Jason Merritt/Getty Images The launch was another chic appearance for Kendall and Kylie (wearing a monochromatic crop top and pants get-up and clingy red midi to the event, respectively). The contrasting looks speak to their unique senses of style, which they worked to seamlessly mesh in this collection. One thing they didn't want, however, was advice from big sisters' Kim, Khloé and Kourtney. "We actually don't want their opinion," Kylie admitted. "We want it to be all us, really authentic and just from us. [This is] just for our fans specifically: It's fun, and they love our style. It's cool to have two different opinions because some of our fans might be obsessed with my style and some might be obsessed with Kendall's." "Of course our friends: It'd be fun to see Hailey [Baldwin] and Gigi [Hadid] and all of them in it," Kylie said. "Cara!" Kendall added, referring to supermodel-BFF Cara Delevingne—who had, as Kylie joked, unknowingly taken their Topshop "shine." "I'm going to have to call her after this because she's on every billboard in here," she quipped. Kendall + Kylie for Topshop is in stores and online now.
