Kim Kardashian's makeup artist
Mario Dedivanovic posted a snap of a little girl wearing a full face of makeup to
Instagram on June 22, and his followers have some feelings about it.
Some
users thought the pic—which shows the adorable tot looking into the
distance with winged eyeliner and red lips—put forth an inappropriate
representation of a child and, well, they let it be known. Fired-up
comments included "Kids don't need anything more than lip balm IMO,"
"She's beautiful but she doesn't need makeup. That's too grown. Protect
the innocence" and "Too young. Babies shouldn't look like women."
Mario, who is hosting a makeup "
Master Class"
alongside Kim in Los Angeles on July 25, captioned the photo "My future
daughter #soCute"—although following the backlash, he later added
"(this is not my makeup)" to the post.

But not everyone is up in arms! Some Instagram users came to the
makeup artist's defense: "Wearing makeup does not make them prone to
child abusers! Ignorant stupid comment! This is clearly only for a photo
shoot. I've never seen kids wear makeup out in the street and I
guarantee paedophiles [sic] don't rape and abuse them because of
makeup," one user wrote, while another added, "Too many annoying people
on social media. This bubba is cute x."
Mario hasn't taken the photo, which seems like a professional shot, down from his Instagram.
Ellen Von Unwerth
The makeup mastermind is behind some of Kim's most sultry beauty looks, including a recent cover feature shot for
Vogue Brazil.
The star, then still rocking her platinum blond locks from March,
channels Marilyn Monroe for a series of soft (and shirtless) snaps.
