Are we getting closer to a joint album from Drizzy and Yeezy?
Drake and Kanye West have been teasing the project all year and now,
there’s a new billboard that’s hinting at a possible release.
The mysterious new sign popped up in Los Angeles this week, noting
that “Calabasas is the new Abu Dhabi” and it’s accompanied by the OVO
Sound and G.O.O.D. Music logos (via reddit).
Drake, who’s prominently used billboards in the past, spoke on the potential joint project back in April.
“We have a few things that we’ve worked on, and it’s always just
about finding a place for it,” he said at the time. “With [Kanye], you
never know: He might call me tonight, and be like, ‘Yo, these two songs
that we did are coming out.'”
More recently, earlier this month, the duo appeared together at OVO Fest. “Is y’all ready for this album?” West teased. “I’m not talking about Pablo. I wasn’t talking about Views. I wanna ask y’all right now, are y’all ready for this album?”
That’s not the only billboard Drake has posted around L.A. The 6 God
also purchased one for his “Work” collaborator Rihanna to congratulate
her on her MTV Video Vanguard Award.
Upon seeing the billboard, Rihanna gushed, “When he extra.”
