Report: Beyoncé to Perform at MTV VMAs
BeyHive, rejoice. Beyoncé might just be performing at the MTV VMAs.
Queen Bey “has been in top-secret rehearsals” leading up to Sunday’s show, according to the Los Angeles Times.
If this sounds familiar, that’s because ‘Yoncé also surprised fans earlier this year when she opened the BET Awards with a fiery performance of “Freedom” featuring Kendrick Lamar.
Whether she performs or not, Beyoncé will likely be a hot topic all night. She’s a frontrunner this year with 11 nominations for her work on LEMONADE.
But that won’t be all, of course. Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande will be performing their “Side to Side” duet and Britney Spears and G-Eazy will do the same for “Make Me…” Beyond that, Nick Jonas, Ty Dolla $ign, and Future are on the bill and it’s all set to kick off with a performance from Rihanna.
In honor of her Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, RiRi will reportedly deliver a “meaty performance” that will encompass her entire discography, according to the L.A. Times.
Beyoncé received the same prestigious award just two years ago. To accept the honor, she performed a 15-minute medley.
Watch what the stars have in store when the VMAs air live from New York’s Madison Square Garden on Sunday, Aug. 28, at 9 p.m.
