As proven yesterday during the MTV Video Music Awards, the Queen B lives up to her name and reminds us that she is one of (if not the) greatest performer of our time. With her captivating presence and chart-topping music, there's not a single blink in the audience when Bey takes the stage, because we all know by now that we're in for a good show.
But aside from her truly admirable, and continuously successful, career, Bey proved last night that she has somehow found the fountain of youth (or something), because this gorgeous woman hasn't aged a day since she first stepped on to the scene.
Obviously, her status and career has continued to skyrocket, and she's a mother and wife now, but just look at the photo above. The left picture is Bey during her first solo appearance at the VMAs in 2003, where she also gave her debut performance as a solo artist. Entering the stage upside down while hanging from a rope, Bey performed "Baby Boy" and "Crazy in Love," which required Jay Z's assistance, of course!
The right side is obviously a red carpet photo from last night, and although there is 13 years of life in between these two snapshots, it's like nothing has changed. Well, yes she opted against those large earrings, and maybe left the blow dryer and round brush behind this time around, but it's almost literally the same picture, from the hair style to the gold sequin threads.
And that's what we love most about Beyoncé. She manages to grow and build her empire all these years while still remaining the same Beyoncé we first became fans of so many years ago, and that, ladies and gentleman, is magical.
