Here's What the MTV Video Music Awards Looked and Sounded Like 10 Years Ago

As music lovers know, tonight marks the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards where Hollywood's most recognized faces and voices will descend on New York City's Madison Square Garden for a live, unpredictable show.
But before Kanye West, Britney Spears and Rihanna become the talk of the evening, we just have to take a trip down memory lane. It's time to rewind and throw it back to 2006.

10 years ago on a late August night, Jack Black hosted the annual MTV show from Radio City Music Hall where Shakira and Red Hot Chili Peppers received the most nominations. As for who won the highly coveted Video of the Year, credit has to be given to Panic! at the Disco's "I Write Sins Not Tragedies." It's all coming back to you, right?
