Summer trends are not made for the meek. The warm-weather season often calls for loud prints, bright ensembles and even bold Kate Bosworth-y makeup looks—the latter of which can be achieved with a few quick swipes of your favorite lipstick tube.
But between beach trips, backyard BBQs and rooftop parties, it can be hard to maintain that brilliant color without having to reapply during every bathroom break. Luckily, there exists a super-simple trick to getting long-lasting wear and—more importantly—a brighter pop of color.

Optional: If your lip color is of the matte variety, apply a very tiny amount of lip balm to moisturize lips.
Step 1: Apply a generous amount of cream concealer in a light shade on the top of your hand.
Step 2: Using your ring finger, lightly dab concealer onto your lips, starting with a thin, even layer and adding more until lips are opaque.
Step 3: Apply a pigmented lipstick for bold lips worth kissing.
