Kanye West isn't too proud to admit when he's wrong, shockingly.
In a lengthy profile with The Sunday Times, Kim Kardashian's hubby admits that he was wrong about dissing Beck at this year's Grammy Awards.
"I'm fine to apologize for inaccuracies. You know, I send flowers to inaccuracies," he explained.
"I talked to Beck's wife [Marissa Ribisi],
and I think I had a point about Beyoncé's album, but I think I was
inaccurate with the concept of a gentleman who plays 14 instruments not
respecting artistry."
And this isn't exactly the first time that Mr. West has backtracked on his notorious Grammy incident.
He
took to Twitter just a few weeks after the annual music event, writing,
"I would like to publicly apologize to Beck. I'm sorry Beck."
But let's take a stroll down memory lane and rewind back to that fateful night when West put his foot in his mouth during the E! After Party for the Grammys.
"If
the Grammys want real artists to keep coming back, they need to stop
playing with us. We ain't gonna play with them no more. 'Flawless,'
Beyoncé video. Beck needs to respect artistry and he should have given
his award to Beyoncé, and at this point, we tired of it," he ranted.
"Because what happens is, when you keep on diminishing art and
not respecting the craft and smacking people in the face after they
deliver monumental feats of music, you're disrespectful to inspiration
and we as musicians have to inspire people who go to work every day and
they listen to that Beyoncé album and they feel like it takes them to
another place."
Beck, meanwhile, took the high road and had nothing but complimentary things to say about the outspoken rapper.
Hopefully their drama is water under the bridge by now!
