LeBron James waged a hardfought battle in this year's NBA Finals, but ultimately fell short.
Sure, King James stepped it up, averaging more than 35 points a game, after both of the Cleveland Cavaliers' other stars, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love, were sidelined with injuries for the pivotal series against the Golden State Warriors
Alas, there was only so much he could do.
After taking some presumably necessary time to collect his thoughts, the superstar finally opened up about the loss with a touching message to fans that he posted on Facebook.

"It hurt to lose. I've been in a funk lately, but this… this is what motivates me to do what I do," he wrote. "How can I ever be down when I know my kids and my fans have my back? Being back home and back with my fans is everything that I dreamed of. Thank you for an incredible season. I'm not satisfied… I'm not happy with the way things turned out… I PROMISE to get better.‪#‎StriveForGreatness ‪#‎ILoveTheseKids ‪#‎GodBlessOurFans."
In the face of such a disheartening loss, at least he has his family to cheer him up. Along with the message, James shared a photo of his two adorable sons gearing up for the wild Six Flags ride Tatsu.
Looks like they were having a blast.
