Vintage Inspiration: Marsha Hunt
Hey ya’ll!
I’ve really been inspired by the 1960s/1970s lately. So, with all this retro infatuation, I wanted to feature a star from one of the designated eras. With that, my research soon led me to the enchanting Marsha Hunt. Her ‘fro had me at me ‘hello‘ and her story was beyond inspirational.
Marsha Hunt was born on April 15, 1946 in Philadelphia. The young talent and her family eventually moved to Kensington, California where she blossomed as a student and political activist. In February 1966, she relocated to London where her career began its ascent – Hunt worked as a model and singer. As time progressed, the fashionista met and became romantically involved with Mick Jagger and, in November 1970, she gave birth to their daughter, Karis. Despite speculation surrounding their relationship, she continued to flourish professionally. In 1986, she penned her autobiography entitled, Real Life: The Story of a Survivor.
Marsha Hunt’s style is breathtaking. This style maven rocks each one of her looks with an undeniable confidence. Whether she uplifts a funky pair of fur-trimmed trousers or a vintage maxi, she’s the rock star we all secretly wish to be! If you examine her fashion faves closely, you’ll notice that alot of her pieces still trend to this day. How gorgeous is she?!
