The Lazy Girl’s Guide To Halloween: 3 Goof Proof Costumes

TEEWHY-HIVE.BLOGSPOT.CO.UK
Left the Halloween costumes to the last minute? Or just not really feeling the fright this year? Don’t worry; i’ve compiled a few goof proof costumes that you can whip together with makeup you already have lying around your bathroom.
Here, three last-minute Halloween costumes for lazy gals that couldn’t be simpler.

Cat Whiskers

This classic “last minute” Halloween costume is a winner precisely because of its simplicity. All you need is a skinny black eyeliner and emollient lip balm. (For eyeliner, try Nars Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner in Via Veneto, $26, or Rimmel Kohl Kajal Waterproof Eye Liner in Black, $7, while Aquaphor, $5 or EOS Smooth Sphere Lip Balm, $3, are perfect balm options.)
Step 1: Line your cheeks with black eyeliner to mimic cat whiskers. Step 2: Line your lips with black eyeliner, topped with lip balm. Step 3: Complete the costume with cat ears. Done.
Easiest. Costume. Ever.
Scarecrow

Brown eyeliner and brown eyeshadow are the only tools you’ll need in your kit for a cute scarecrow look. Choose a chubby crayon-style eyeliner (such as No7 Stay Perfect Shade and Define Crayon in Coffee Bean, $10, or Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner in Brown (Out) $25), and a brown eyeshadow with a hint of copper (such as NYX Hot Singles Eyeshadow in Top Notch, $4, or Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Thunderbird, $19).
To get the look, use the eyeliner to draw exaggerated eyelashes about half an inch below the lash line—as well as past your lip line, in a Joker-style smile. Cross the smile with a few perpendicular lines, to mimic stitching. On your nose and cheeks, apply brown eyeshadow in a triangular or circular shape. Go the extra mile by dotting a series of freckles across your cheeks with the liner. Finish with a straw hat. Voila.
Skeleton Face

A “real” day-of-the-dead skeleton face requires white face paint, which requires a trip to the store, which requires planning ahead…so, we’ve found an easy skeleton look that only requires black eyeliner and black cream shadow. Try a black eyeliner guaranteed to stay in place (such as It Cosmetics No-Tug Waterproof Gel Eyeliner, $22, or Revlon Color Stay Eyeliner in Charcoal, $6), while a black cream eyeshadow (such as Make Up For Ever Aqua Black Cream Eye Shadow, $23, or Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 HR Gel-Cream Eyeshadow, $12) will also help keep things from sliding around on your face.
To get the look, start with the black cream shadow. Apply it all around the eye, from lash line to brow bone, extending the shadow underneath the eye to mimic under-eye circles. Next, apply it in an upside-down triangle or diamond-shape on the tip of the nose. Finish by using the eyeliner to draw vertical lines across your lips, extending an inch both above and beyond your lip line. Spooky in a snap.
