Bruno Mars, Drake, & Kendrick Lamar Lead American Music Awards Nominees

Bruno Mars, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, and Ed Sheeran are poised to win big at the 45th Annual American Music Awards.

With eight nods, Mars leads with the the most nominations this year. Lamar, The Weeknd, Drake, and Sheeran follow with five noms apiece.
Drizzy, K-Dot, Bruno, Sheeran, and The Chainsmokers are all vying for the night’s biggest award, Artist of the Year. Post Malone and Rae Sremmurd are up for New Artist of the Year, battling James Arthur, Niall Horan, and Julia Michaels.
In the Rap/Hip-Hop category, Drake, Kendrick, and Migos will duke it out for Favorite Artist, while their respective projects, More Life, DAMN., and Culture fight for Favorite Album. The genre’s Favorite Song category belongs to DJ Khaled, Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance the Rapper, and Lil Wayne’s “I’m the One,” Kendrick Lamar’s “HUMBLE.,” or Rae Sremmurd and Gucci Mane’s “Black Beatles.”
The Soul/R&B categories are also full of stars. Childish Gambino, Bruno, and The Weeknd are up for Favorite Male Artist, while Beyoncé, Kehlani, and Rihanna earn nods in the Favorite Female Artist category. Favorite Album nominees include Gambino’s Awaken, My Love!,, The Weeknd’s Starboy, and Mars’ 24K Magic.
The American Music Awards 2017 are set to air live from L.A.’s Microsoft Theater on Nov. 19 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
