Ray J Readies Response to Kanye West’s ‘Famous’ with Chris Brown

When it comes to Kanye West, Ray J is looking for his Raydemption.
The R&B crooner is reportedly readying a response to Yeezy’s “Famous” with his very own Chris Brown-assisted song and video, also titled “Famous,” according to Billboard.

“I really wasn’t going to put out another album because I was doing my tech and bikes,” he said. “But I went in the studio, and I felt like I was just connecting with the music. The bars started coming.”
Ray’s version of “Famous” — which is set to appear on his visual album Raydemption — will feature Breezy, whose likeness also appeared in Yeezy’s controversial video for “Famous.”
In the original song, ‘Ye raps about Ray J’s relationship with Kim Kardashian: “I bet me and Ray J would be friends if we ain’t love the same bitch / Yeah, he might’ve hit it first / Only problem is I’m rich.”
Now, Ray, who married Princess Love in August, says he shouldn’t be blamed for having a retaliation ready. “You can’t fault me and Chris for responding to all the things that have been done about us [in the media] over the last few months,” he said.
This could also be a reference to Breezy’s ongoing gun case. Ray was at Brown’s home the day he allegedly threatened a woman with a gun, something both Ray and Chris deny.
Raydemption, Ray’s first album since 2008’s All I Feel, is set to stream exclusively through LookHu.com. LookHu’s CEO Byron Booker says that the visual album will be “a controversial record in which Ray sets the record straight, reclaims his power, and moves forward.”
Booker also adds that Breezy “is going to be talking about his rendezvous with certain celebrities in his past, as well as certain women that he helped catapult to fame.”
Justin Bieber, Snoop Dogg, The Game, Too $hort, and Kid Ink are all slated to appear on Raydemption, according to Booker.
