Celebs Swear by This Detox Cocktail to Debloat Before Hitting the Red Carpet

ESC: Must Do Monday, Vinegar
Celebs are always coming up with newfangled ways to look good on the red carpet.
But there's a reason that classic standbys never get rotated off the list of slim-down tactics—they never fail. One trick that is by no means new, yet remains a secret weapon among celebs, is a debloat cocktail made simply of lemon and apple cider vinegar. "In the days leading up to an event, I do a lot of apple cider vinegar with lemon to make sure there is no bloating when I get into my dress," spilled country artist Kelsea Ballerini.
So what's so cleansing about a lemon and apple cider vinegar cocktail, anyway?
First off, it's news to no one that lemon is detoxifying all by itself. If you need a refresher, celeb nutritionist Kimberly Snyder told Vogue, "It detoxifies the body by helping your digestive system and liver eliminate waste quickly."
And what's more is when you mix it with apple cider vinegar, you're getting double the benefits. According to Reader's Digest, apple cider vinegar contains acetic acid, which suppresses your appetite, increases your metabolism and reduces water retention. Basically, you won't be as hungry, what you do eat will be metabolized faster and you won't be carrying around extra bloat. It basically has the opposite effect of eating salt, and the results are relatively instantaneous.
You're probably not getting ready to hit the red carpet on this Monday morning, but if you spent your weekend indulging in salt and sugar, a debloat cocktail is just what you need to kick this week off on the right foot.
Cheers, you look famous already!
