Fashion Scoop: Quvenzhané Wallis To Continue On In Armani Ads, Solange’s Hair Compared To A Dog, Your “Fake Fur” Might Be Real.
- Last season Quvenzhané Wallis made headlines when she was cast as
the face of Armani Junior. Well today it has been announced that the 11
year-old will continue on in her role for spring. Add this to accolades
that include being the youngest person ever to receive an Academy Award
nomination for best actress, and we say she’s achieved more than some
of us ever could dream of. (Fashion Week Daily)

- Paris isn’t the only city to have a fashion week–Rome has one as
well. Sadly though, seems support is waining for Rome’s Altaroma and
January’s iteration of the event has been cancelled due to lack of
public funding. They will resume showing this summer. (Vogue UK)
- We can’t lie, we’re a little behind on this but we felt it needed to be discussed. In a recent issue, In Touch weekly
compared Solange’s natural hair style to a dog, posting it beside a
photo of someone’s pet and asking if they were “twinsies.” Needless to
say, the disrespect was promptly reprimanded by Twitter. (Styleite)
- It wouldn’t be surprising if you’ve heard of the brand Marcelo
Burlon. The streetwear brand that focuses on printing tees and tanks
with everything from snakes to lions and other animals, has now expanded
their repertoire to include kid’s clothes. (StyleBlazer)
- Don’t believe everything you read! This short maxim extends to the
labels of your clothes as stores have come under fire for selling real
fur but marking it as faux. Some of the stores, namely Neiman Marcus,
have sought to pass the buck, saying that the law stipulates that they
must label wares as described by the original vendors. Needless to say
it’s a sticky situation. (WWD)
