Whew! 2014 was quite the year, huh? The world of fashion consistently set the bar higher for years to come while providing tons of inspiration for Fashion Bombshells/Bombers everywhere. Although a considerable amount of designers left their mark on the both the concrete runway and the Fashion Week catwalks, there were a few that particularly stood out more than others.

Balmain
Let’s face it, Balmain dominated 2014! Fashionistas including Jourdan Dunn, Nicole Richie, Jessie J and Bad Gal RiRi all rocked the iconic brand and its popularity continued its ascent year round. With an unforgettable Fall 2014 Ready-to-Wear presentation, Olivier Rousteing definitely solidified his status as a force to be reckoned with.
It seemed you couldn’t peruse any style blog without spotting at least one Balmain creation!
… and let’s not forget this epic campaign!
Stella McCartney
Not to be outdone by Mr. Olivier, Stella McCartney was also a designer favorite in 2014. The English fashion designer kept the classic theme of using sheer femininity and quirky embellishments to successfully create pieces that translated to women across the world. McCartney’s bold and memorable lines border amongst the bounds of edgy yet conservative.
The pivotal fashion house kept their designs ladylike and light while boasting vivid colors, quirky prints and jaw-dropping silhouettes.
Anthony Vaccarello
Anthony Vaccarello had an amazing year as well! After if astounding work with the Versus Versace brand, Vaccarello managed to cultivate a brand that personified a cool, effortless vibe. With his asymmetric cuts and signature cutouts, it’s no wonder as to why he’s a contender.
His statement-making pieces have assisted in garnering a following that crave simple looks coupled with an unexpected twist.
Michael Costello
I absolutely adore Michael Costello! His work is nothing short of exquisite and his designs are always rocked by some of the hottest names in Hollywood including Beyonce, Laila Ali and Ashanti. Costello’s M.O.? Keep it sexy!
It seems this young designer certainly had a flair for the bold, white trend this year; furthermore, his magnificent talent in creating one-of-a-kind structured pieces also adds to his charismatic ensembles.
Stella Jean
Stella Jean is a visionary. Through her mastery of print mixing and color coordinating, the Italian-Haitian designer that has taken the world by storm. As one of Milan’s rising talents, Stella Jean’s take on fashion is the epitome of fun . Her looks translate into the “tomboy chic” approach while incorporating a carefree feel.
Jean’s Spring 2015 Ready-to-Wear line boasted head-turning graphics and expertly tailored pieces. Her presentation revealed a unique authenticity that sets her apart from other up-and-comers. The girl is bad!
Riccardo Tisci
Well, well – here we have Mr. Riccardo Tisci. The Italian mastermind has worked with iconic brands including the unparalleled Givenchy (he currently serves as Creative Director). Tisci (usually) tends to flock towards dark, minimalistic looks; however, this year, he spread his fashionable expertise a little bit further while shocking fashion critics everywhere.
All in all, his outstanding work didn’t just stop at clothing! Earlier this year, Tisci partnered with Nike to help bring forth a customized line including sneakers and sports-inspired apparel. Known simply as Nike X R.T, the titanic collaboration proved to be one of the most highly-anticipated releases ever. Check out some of his muses rocking his gear below!
Oscar de la Renta
This year, we lost one of the most dynamic names in style. The legendary Oscar de la Renta played a pivotal role in the fashion realm and, throughout his life, managed to give birth to one of the most influential brands across the globe. His gorgeous pieces provided an infinite source of inspiration to fashion lovers everywhere. He will be greatly missed.
