Happy holidays! As the end of year draws to a close, i am taking the opportunity to delve into the sartorial improvements from some of our favorite fashionistas. Let’s take a closer look at how these fine ladies upped their sartorial ante:

1. Nicki Minaj
Tone down for what? The epicness that is Nicki Minaj’s style evolution of course. 2014 was the year for Nicki with a noteworthy entree into acting in the hit movie The Other Woman, stellar editorials for the likes of L’ uomo Vogue, Complex, GQ, V Magazine and fronting the standout Spring/Summer 2015 ad campaign for the iconic Roberto Cavalli brand.
Nicki left the sometimes questionable costumery ensembles at the curb and ramped up the glam honey! It was a welcomed surprise. Diva Minaj flaunted her enviable figure in modern curve accenting and leg baring wares that elicited the reaction, “Whoa!” Not that we’d want her to stop with her overall toned down visage.
She worked red carpets with minimum effort and flexed robust style muscles on Instagram favoring designers such as Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney, Saint Laurent, Valentino, Dolce & Gabbana, Giuseppe Zanotti and Versace just to name a few.
I’ve been intrigued by Nicki’s style evolution as were you. Briana stated, “ONIKA!!!! She looks fab and her bod is everything! Glad her stylist is doing such a good job :)” I’m anxious to see what 2015 has to offer this blossoming fashionista.

2. Rita Ora
No stranger to the pages of FashionBombDaily, Rita continued to unleash her bold style sensibility to the masses. For 2014 the pop princess gave us sultry sexiness then mixed it up with a bit of Galactica glam, because with Rita you never know what you’re gonna get, right?!
And that’s the very reason why she’s here. She’s bold and fearless when it comes to exploring fashion — never afraid to kick things up a notch or three.
Always a head turner, she has donned fabulous high-fashion wares from Fendi, Miu Miu, Fausto Puglisi, Tom Ford and Moschino.
2014 saw her personal brand flourish with numerous editorial covers, collaborations with Adidas Originals, in addition to landing the coveted role in the highly anticipated upcoming film Fifty Shades of Grey film.
She’s switched up her tresses from long and blond to a mid length pastel pink hue for a cool play on beauty trends. Serve indeed!

3. Kat Graham
Of course, we couldn’t pass up the beautiful Kat Graham. The Vampire Diaries beauty hit up 2014 with a stylish bang skewing perfect with a predilection for Escada, Alexander Wang, Pamella Roland, Yigal Azrouel and Brian Atwood footwear.
Kat has paired up with stylist Maeve Riley to hone her personal style – a true combination of an eclectic aesthetic balanced with a level of sleek sophistication.
Her red carpet moments were standout with host of varied silhouettes from gorgeous gowns with deep plunging necklines to stunning embellished jumpers and tailored suits.
She’s also found a home on Instagram where she documents not only her fashion choices but also delves into her life as it relates to music and philanthropy.

4. Gabrielle Union
2014 has been a whirlwind year for Gabrielle, with nuptials to her beau Dwyane Wade, the lead role in hit television series Being Mary Jane, the launch of her Vanilla Puddin Wines and a staring role in the hit movie Top 5.
This year, we’ve seen her inject some sauciness into her ensembles with figure flattering gowns that boasted chic cut outs and peek-a-boo details.
She hooked our interest with in pieces by Solace London, Jason Wu, Lois London, Georges Chakra, and cool leather jackets.
There’s no doubt that she’s improved from last year and I cant wait to see what she brings in 2015.

5. Chrissy Teigen
With an Instagram following of 1.1 million, Chrissy continues to dish the goods on her fashion choices as well meal preps for succulent looking dishes with hubby John Legend.
With each step, she’s flourished in designer wares from Stella McCartney, Yigal Azroel, Balmain, and Schutz shoes.
You all approve of her ensembles, with Adrienne stating, “I love the way Chrissy Teigen dresses! She always keeps it classy and looks hot at the same time. Love the look.”

6. Tia Mowry-Hardrict
It’s safe to say that Tia Mowry-Hardrict is feeling herself, and with great reason. The Instant mom actress and social media influencer is blossoming style wise.
She’s gravitated towards Alexia Ulibarri, Ellery, One Teaspoon, Rachel Gilberts and Nicole Miller.
Tia has stepped it up in the beauty department as well, leading to a more stunning and cohesive look. Loving the braids and vampy lip color! You?
