Beautiful On A Budget: 3 Ways To Build Your Summer Wardrobe For Less Than $350
Meet Tiffany Of The Werk Place Blog, one of our new resident fashionistas. Each week, she’ll be bringing you tips and tricks on how to make the most of your closet and your budget here on the NEW and improved Hello Beautiful!
Creating the summer wardrobe that I want with the budget I have is always a little but of a struggle. Since I haven’t sold the rights to a multi-million dollar app idea (yet), I am constantly working on my ability to ball on a budget.
When asked how good I am at said-balling on said-budget, I was charged with creating a new summer wardrobe for under $350. Never one to back down from a staring contest, I gladly accepted the challenge.
First, let’s talk strategy.
Number 1: Invest! – I prefer to spend money (read: blow money fast) on things that I will get the most use out of, which tends to be shoes and bags. I know that I can wear them several times and they won’t change if there happens to be a fluctuation in weight. Little known fact: clothes get smaller over time (wink!).
Number 2: Save Money – On the opposite end of the spectrum are super trendy styles that I refuse to go broke for, knowing that they probably won’t be around next season.
Number 3: Shop Smarter – I am OBSESSED with discount codes and end-of-season sales! I literally scour the inter-webs for coupon codes and promotional discounts every time I need to make a purchase. Also, I’m pretty sure I need to have a separate account set aside for end of the season sales. All of those luxury items that I have been eyeing for months are finally 40 – 75% off!Now that you have a plan on how to get your looks for less, below are some recent looks from The Werk! Place to get your creative style juices flowing:
As you can see, I’m loving trends like khaki, florals, stripes, and monochromatic white. Incorporating a few on-trend pieces can completely freshen up your summer style. Get all of these pieces for less than $350!
