High School Student Proves His Doctors Wrong and Walks at Graduation—Watch the Emotional Video!
For those of you graduating soon, take a second before walking across the stage to remember how lucky you are. Because there are people out there who aren't even sure if they'll be using their legs to get across the stage to accept their diploma.
High school senior Chris Norton was one of those people; unsure about how he would be graduating from high school after a tragic and severe spinal cord injury during a football game in 2010 robbed him of his ability to walk. His doctors told him he would be using a wheelchair to get around for the rest of his life, but Norton made it his mission to prove them wrong. So after years and years of rehab and physical therapy, Chris took the stage with his girlfriend (now fiancée!) Emily Summers and accepted his diploma the way he always wanted to.
Watch the emotional video below and join us in thanking Chris for being such an inspiration to anyone being told they can't do something.
Congrats, Chris! We can't wait to see what you do next.
