Kendall Jenner and sister Kylie Jenner seem fearless on social media, where they often showcase daring looks to their millions of followers, but there is one thing that definitely seems to scare them: Aging.
The 19-year-old and the 17-year-old stars of Keeping Up with the Kardashians talked about growing older in an interview with the U.K. newspaper The Sunday Times' Style magazine, which features them on the May 31, 2015 cover.
"I'm scared of the day I turn 19," Kylie was quoted as saying. "I really don't want to grow past 18."
According to the newspaper, she then looked at Kendall and said, "You'll be 20 this year — that's crazy. And any second you'll be, like, 21, 22, 23..."
"It's scary," Kendall replied, nodding. "Life is scary."
Each has since collected more than 25 million followers on Instagram, making them among the most popular young celebrities in the world. A recent Instagram photo of Kendall showing part of her butt cheeks was the No. 1 trend on Facebook for hours on Sunday.
"I think social media has taken over for our generation," The Sunday Times quoted Kendall as saying. "It's a big part of our lives and it's kind of sad."
"I hate it sometimes, like, I literally want to throw my phone so I can't look at it," she added. "It's all a made-up world if you think about it. Social media, everything, this interview, everything. It's not real. It's pretty crazy."
The reality star, who is also a runway and fashion model, shared the pic days after confirming she and Kylie are working on a new clothing line together. The two also have their own PacSun line and have partnered with TopShop, which will release the sisters' new collection this week. "It's just scary to think how fast everything is rolling and you can't stop it. It's rolling right now," The Sunday Times quoted Kendall as saying, when asked about getting older. "You see a picture and you've changed so much in a year." "I've done so much, physically and whatever," Kylie added.
