Fashion Scoop: Fern Mallis Does Want To Chat With Kanye, Claire Underwood Gets Style Makeover, Marc Jacobs Disses Young Designers.
- During New York Fashion Week, Fern Mallis made some comments about Kanye West saying that she was sort of over him and “his agenda.”
Subsequently in a very Kanye way, West went on Twitter for a good old
tirade which he later deleted and amongst other things half invited half
challenged Mallis to a meeting at The Spotted Pig in New York, once he
got back for a little chat. While Mallis has deferred on answering the
invitation, she’s responding with an invitation of her own: Kanye, meet
Mallis live and in person for a sit down interview for her 92Y Fashion

Blasberg are out on their own. Formerly a part of the Nowmanifest
platform owned by Conde Nast, the bloggers will now be managing their
own advertising and business management, which had been under the
purview of Nowmanifest. Conde Nast will be taking the attention focused
on that platform and divert it to strengthening Style.com (Business of Fashion)
- Though Marc Jacobs distanced himself from social media yesterday,
the designer is distancing himself from all of things young including
designers. “I look at young fashion and it seems like it’s all the same — the idea of what is edgy or cool,” he said in an internee. “It’s
style with no substance; it doesn’t really seem born of anything. I
don’t see the rebellion or edge in it. It just looks like a cliche:
salad oil in the hair, Frankenstein shoes and the trappings of punk and
