Alfre Woodard’s Oscar’s Sistahs Soirée.
A celebration bringing together some of the most beautiful and accomplished black women in Hollywood, who just so happen to be incredibly stylish? I am all for it! Brown beauties of all shades were on hand for Alfre Woodard’s Oscar’s Sistahs Soirée in prints, ruffles, embellishment, and so much more.
Let’s see what they wore!
How to get away with slaying a look! Viola Davis was pretty in pink in a strapless ruched number. The arm cuff wasn’t necessary, but it hardly made the look any less fabulous.
Carmen Ejogo went glam in a feather embellished Pamella Roland Pre-Fall 2015 number. This was fun!
Kerry Washington was a breath of fresh Spring air (which we desperately need) in a floral printed dress with a solid seamed bodice from Sophia Kah.
Zoe Saldana loves Lanvin, thus it was no surprise to see her in a blue ruffled number from the iconic French fashion house, accented by a waist-cinching belt and Kurt Geiger pumps.
Emayatzy Corinealdi couldn’t be missed in a printed bodycon number. I do not see enough of this woman out and about. She’s beautiful!
Gugu Mbatha-Raw always looks chic and her Narciso Rodriguez Spring 2015 embroidered and sheer chiffon dress was no exception.
Danai Gurira was a vision in an icy blue embellished pleated dress. She’s absolutely gorgeous.
LBDS were in abundance and Jurnee Smollett-Bell tried a sleeveless flare design on for size. Pretty!
Rosario Dawson was the lady in red in a tie-waist jumpsuit in the fiery hue. A bit of hemming was needed on the trousers, but you know I already want this for my wardrobe immediately.
Ava Duvernay skewed conservative in a printed open cardigan layered over a black sheath.
A slit-sleeve LBD, red lips, and matching red velvet pumps were on the menu for Aisha Tyler.
Nicole Beharie opted for neutrals in a calf-length black dress and suede cutout booties.
The woman who put the whole wonderful thing together radiated power in a cape LBD. A pair of simple ankle-strap sandals would’ve taken this look to another level.
Khandi Alexander aka Mama Pope looked ready to rule the world in a menswear-inspired black suit. Hot!
Angela Bassett followed her lead, with a sexy bob to match. Isn’t she stunning?
I am going to need all of Margaret Avery’s beauty potions! A baby blue off-the-shoulder cascading top and gold metallic skirt were her choices for the fête.
Does it get much better?
Who had your favorite look at the party?
