Nicki Minaj has been delivering look after look since fashion week started. Yesterday, she stuck to her guns by showcasing her curves in a crop top and leather leggings while draping herself in an opulent Thom Browne Spring 2015 coat.
This coat is festooned with an onslaught of colorful feathers, and like all Thom Browne pieces, is meant to attract all sorts of attention. To be honest, the more I look at it, the more it grows on me. She understood that leaving the remainder of her ensemble black would make the coat the standout piece. A tiny part of me wanted her to channel a little bit of Dominique Devereaux from television’s Dynasty with this moment. You have to admit, it whispers…llllluuuuxxxxuuuurrrryyyyy, doesn’t it?
Oversized sunglasses, a cobalt Céline tote, and a $1,495 pair of Saint Laurent Candy 80 Double Knot sandals completed her look.
