The 87th Annual Academy Awards.
The 87th Annual Academy Awards are going down in Hollywood in just a couple of hours! Celebs have already started to flood the red carpet in showstopping gowns and expertly-tailored suits.
Let’s get into the night’s ensembles shall we?
One never has to fear J.Lo looking anything less than spectacular on the red carpet! She worked a pink Elie Saab Couture embellished gown. She looks fabulous every single time!
Beforing DJing the Governor’s Ball After Party, Solange Knowles wore a just-debuted crepe cape top and matching trousers from Christian Siriano’s just-debuted Fall 2015 collection.
Calvin Klein made a custom pearl-embellished piece for Lupita Nyong’o. Is there any flaw here whatsoever? Not in my book.
Viola Davis presented for the evening in an off-the-shoulder Zac Posen gown.
Zoe Saldana flaunted her curves in a blush pink draped Versace number. This is easily one of her best looks ever!
There was nothing scandalous about Kerry Washington’s Miu Miu peplum gown — this was just plain old pretty.
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are always my favorite couple to see at any awards show and Chrissy’s icy blue Zuhair Murad Spring 2015 gown couldn’t have been any more stunning.
Zendaya opted for a white Vivienne Westwood gown and faux locs. She’s a risk taker and we love it!
Before taking her seat next to fellow Academy Award winner Meryl Streep, Jennifer Hudson hit the red carpet in a strapless yellow Romona Keveza gown.
Carmen Ejogo served retro-inspired glamour with a diamond-encrusted choker and white sequin-adorned cami-inspired gown. I so look forward to seeing her on every red carpet and she nailed this look!
Jamie Chung was fireworks personified in a starburst-embellished tulle Yanina gown. In case you were wondering why she’s one of my favorites time and time again…
Ava Duvernay went bold with an updo and baby blue perforated gown. How could you not love her?
Rita Ora certainly turned a few heads in a strapless navy and gold embroidered Marchesa gown. This is how you do awards show fashion folks!
Queen Mother Oprah Winfrey glowed in a blush pink draped Vera Wang number.
Common opted for texture in a black velvet Prada sport coat and a white bow tie. Isn’t he dreamy?
The men are certainly bringing it on the red carpet tonight! Kevin Hart chose a contrast lapel white tux, while his fiancée Eniko looked statuesque in a taupe hued gown with a plunging neckline, cutout back, and leather-accented waist.
David Oyelowo always goes bold on the red carpet and this was no exception as he sported a burgundy three-piece tux from Dolce & Gabbana.
Chiwetel Ejiofor kept it classic in a black, satin lapel tux.
Idris Elba brought along his adorable daughter, Isan! Her strapless cobalt and black tiered gown was fit for a princess.
An updo and cobalt Manon Gabard gown crafted from sustainable silk were Gina Rodriguez’s choices for the evening.
Octavia Spencer couldn’t be missed in an off-the-shoulder white draped and pleated number with an embellished train from her favorite brand, Tadashi Shoji.
America Ferrera turned on the romance in a dip dye Jenny Packham number. Stunning no?
Michael Strahan is a front runner for Best Dressed man of the night in his contrast lapel grey suit. I loved the extra pocket accents here.
Robin Roberts shimmered and sparkled in a red sequin gown. Get into that skin ladies and gents — she’s flawless.
Genesis Rodriguez continued the white gown trend in an off-the-shoulder draped number and a dark berry lip. Hot!
Emma Stone was gilded in a gold beaded Elie Saab Couture number.
Scarlett Johannson certainly made a few ladies green with envy in a custom forest-hued Atelier Versace gown. Those curves are serious!
Jennifer Aniston was another Versace-clad beauty, arm in arm with fiancé Justin Theroux.
Gwyneth Paltrow brought flowers to the event with a blush pink one-shoulder gown, custom-made by Ralph & Russo Couture, with a rosette accenting the left shoulder.
I was patiently awaiting a Tom Ford moment! Reese Witherspoon served timeless beauty in an off-the-shoulder icy blue gown with black contrast trim.
Another custom moment for one of the year’s biggest nights! Julianne Moore slipped on a strapless Chanel Couture number. She never disappoints!
Sienna Miller was one of the only ladies to wear black for the night, in a velvet bow-detailed lace confection from Oscar de la Renta.
Riccardo Tisci worked his magic! Rosamund Pike’s strapless red textured Givenchy gown with a nipped-in waist was absolute perfection.
He also made another custom design for Jessica Chastain. She skewed sultry in a navy embellished number with a thigh-high slit from the iconic French fashion house. I think it’s impossible to make this woman look anything but amazing.
Another custom Givenchy look! Jared Leto looked ready for Easter Sunday in an pastel-hued tux.
Few do a red carpet gown better than Armani Privé and the cutout back and sides on Naomi Watts’s piece were really fun and sultry accents.
Margot Robbie slipped on a black Saint Laurent number and gave her look a pop of color with red lips. Something about this didn’t quite feel glamorous enough for the event at hand, but this woman is hot, no denying that!
Karolina Kurkova looked every bit the model in a strapless, faintly blush Marchesa column gown with subtle pleated detailing at the bust and a slight train.
I loved that Cate Blanchett chose a Margiela by John Galliano gown, but I was surprised that her look was so pared-down. She does drama effortlessly, thus a more showstopping moment was expected.
Jenna Dewan Tatum followed Chrissy Teigen’s lead, also choosing Zuhair Murad, alongside dapper husband Channing Tatum in Dolce & Gabbana.
Kelly Ripa was the belle of the ball in a strapless metallic embossed jacquard gown from Christian Siriano’s Pre-Fall 2015 collection.
It was all about prints for Louise Roe in a strapless patterned Monique Lhuillier confection. I live for her style!
I was thrilled to hear that Gaga would be donning Alaïa all night long, but this was certainly not what I expected. I hate to give her a hmm, but I’m afraid the red gloves made it impossible not to.
Georgina Chapman naturally wore her own brand, Marchesa, for the evening. This was a bit covered for my taste, but the embroidery and drama of it was perfect for the occasion.
It was so nice to see Roshumba looking radiant in a red draped number.
Shaun Robinson served princess chic in a yellow design with an embellished empire waist. Simply beautiful.
Meryl Streep skewed menswear-inspired in a black blazer, cream draped blouse, and belted maxi skirt from Lanvin.
Who had your favorite look of the evening?
