Watch Chloe x Halle Cover Kendrick Lamar’s ‘HUMBLE.’

Chloe x Halle and Kendrick Lamar
Chloe x Halle take on King Kendrick. Beyoncé’s protégées continue to display impressive cover skills with a piano rendition of Kendrick Lamar’s “HUMBLE.”

Replacing some of the original’s profane language, the teenage sisters give the Mike WiLL Made-It-produced slapper a bit of a clean twist. “I’m so, I’m so sick and tired, tired, of the Photoshop,” they sing. “Show me something natural like Afro on Richard Pryor / Show me something natural like booty with some stretch marks / Still gon’ take you down right on your mama’s couch in Polo socks.”
Then, the duo that performed at the White House last year, continued. “Aye, this song way too crazy, aye / You do not amaze me, aye / I blew cool from AC, aye / Obama just paged me, aye / I don’t fabricate it, aye / Most of y’all be fakin’, aye / I stay modest ’bout it, aye / Sit down, be humble.”

Of course, this isn’t the first time the girls have remixed a smash rap single. In January, they also rolled out an acoustic version of Rae Sremmurd’s “Black Beatles.” Last year, they flipped Desiigner’s “Tiimmy Turner” and Yo Gotti’s “Down in the DM.”
Covers are nothing new to the duo. In fact, it was the viral success of their “Pretty Hurts” remix that eventually earned them a spot on Queen Bey’s Parkwood roster.
Last month, Chloe x Halle dropped their latest mixtape, The Two of Us. Meanwhile, “HUMBLE.” is a single off K-Dot’s forthcoming still-to-be-titled project, due April 14.
