Fashion Scoop: Andre Leon Talley Leaves Zappos Couture, Hood By Air Heads To Pitti Uomo, and Preview Iggy Azalea’s Steve Madden Collaboration.
- Andre Leon Talley is out at Zappos Couture. While there’s no word on
whether it was a mutual decision or a decision by one party, Talley has
already hinted he has plans. “I needed this much-valued freedom to
explore new and exciting opportunities, and I am glad to be in talks
with an exciting new venture, for my life, which I hope to be able to
expand upon very soon.” As always, watch this space. (WWD)

- Though they are showing their Spring 2015 collection in a third
iteration tonight, Hood By Air has already been announced as a guest
designer at Pitti Uomo. Running from January 13 to 16 in Italy, HBA
will be joined by Marni’s menswear line as well as a performance by
Tilda Swinton. It looks like a pretty intriguing line-up. (The Daily)
- Do you remember Diane Von Furstenberg’s Spring 2013 collection?
Honestly, neither do we–and the designer knew that might happen. What
you probably do remember though, is the fact that she put Google Glass
on the runway. In her recently released memoir, the designer says that
PR trick saved the collection. Furstenberg delves into more business and
even life advice in other parts of the book. (Fashionista)
- You’re going to have to wait until February to get your hands on the
Iggy Azalea for Steve Madden collaboration, but you can feast your eyes
right now. The “New Classic” artist took to Instagram to reveal a free
styles from the line-up. While there will be 15 styles in total, the
one that she debuted (in two colorways) features a chunky heel and lug
sole. What say ye: hot or hmm? (MTV Style)
