Hijacking the Runway, and boy is it juicy!
Aside from offering innumerable nuggets of fashion history (like how the
Lacoste Crocodile came to be and how French Princess Eugénie was one of
the first socialites and stars to set trends), the book delves into how
celebrity backed brands like Jessica Simpson became among the most
profitable in the fashion landscape.
Though I haven’t yet finished, I’m currently on the chapter about Tory
Burch’s unstoppable ascent, and am learning about the process behind her
creating her ever popular Reva ballet flats.
Any fashion lover or enthusiast will enjoy this book. It’s certainly a
welcome edition to my repertoire (see even more fabulous books here).
