Back in April, it was announced that the popular British designer Mary Katrantzou would collaborate with Adidas. Well, the collection has finally been revealed! And for all those who love the designer for her amazing iconic prints, the adidas Originals by Mary Katrantzou capsule collection delivers just that.
The collection features Katrantzou’s digital prints all over bomber jackets, long sleeve sweaters, neoprene dresses and adidas sneakers. Colorful, feminine and sporty!
With this Adidas collaboration, the designer is now among others like Stella McCartney, Rita Ora, Jeremy Scott, Raf Simons and more recently Pharrell, who have teamed up with the sports brand in the past. As we’ve seen with other collaborations, this collection is sure to cause quite the frenzy among fashionistas!
My heart went into overdrive as I clicked to view the collection. A budget friendly Mary Katrantzou piece to satisfy my inner tomboy? Yes, please! Though I won’t say I’m in love with every piece, there’s certainly a couple I have my eye on (that zip-up dress, anyone?!).
“I wanted this collection to be more democratic because what I do every day is niche and it’s about luxury; it’s great to be able to translate my work into a product more people can enjoy,” Katrantzou said of the collection in an interview .
