Kevin Hart went to bat for one of his fans after she nearly lost her job for interrupting her duties to take a picture with him.
Ganesha Douglas, a National Rental Cars shuttle driver, was transporting passengers at Los Angeles International Airport when she stopped her bus in its tracks the moment she saw Kevin. She then got out of the vehicle so that she could rush over to recently engaged comedian and snap a selfie with him.
Once she got the shot, “Inside Edition” reports that Ganesha got back on the bus and apologized to her passengers for the break in service. When word of the incident reached her managers, she was immediately suspended without pay; she also ran the risk of losing her job.
As she faced the possibility of getting fired, Kevin made a plea on Instagram to save her job. He wrote, “I’m asking “National Rental Car” to please give Ganesha Douglas a pass. She has learned from her mistake. She nor I intended for this to happen. #LoveMyFans”

In the video he released yesterday, Kevin also said that what Ganesha did was completely understandable. “I love National, and if I’d have seen me, I would’ve taken a selfie with me too!”
His request for leniency must have worked because Ganesha had great news to report. “I got my job back!” Ganesha joyfully reported to “Inside Edition” earlier today. “Things went very well, and I’m happy that ‘Inside Edition’ as well as Kevin Hart—and all the petitions and the likes—really helped me out.”
Ganesha was so thankful she began to cry. “Tears of joy. I am overwhelmed by this video,” said the shuttle driver. “I’m just happy that he would do that for me.”
A grateful Ganesha continued, “He didn’t ask me to get off the bus. I got off on my own.”
