Fashion Scoop: Naomi Campbell To Host Fashion Shows To Fight Ebola, Baz Luhrmann To Throw Barneys Party, Louis Vuitton Is The Top Ranked Global Luxury Brand.
- In an effort to spread awareness about Ebola, Naomi Campbell is
launching two fashion shows in February. Fashion for Relief will be
held in New York and London in an effort to raise awareness and funds to
fight the disease. If the event stays true to Campbell’s older
ventures, expect to see supermodels. (Fashion Times)

- Finally the moment of truth has come and passed: First Lady Michelle
Obama hosted students and fashion designers for a series of workshops, a
luncheon, and speech at the White House. The event focused on American
designers who have come into their fame within the last decade–and
touched on some of the less glamorous portions of the industry. Amongst
other things, students got hands on experience using various pieces of
technology, draped on the form, and created journals. (Washington Post)
- For his latest project, director Baz Luhrmann is throwing a party.
In order to fete his Barneys windows, Luhrmann and his wife will be
throwing a Baz Dazzled Holiday at the Central Park Zoo turned “fairy
tale wonderland.” No word on whether the event will be open to the
public or not. (Fashionista)
- After discovering and nurturing tons of new fashion talent, Milk
Studios is now expanding their parameters to include music in it’s Made
Fashion Week. The group will select eight to ten musicians and will
provide them with training and support to reach the next level. We can
say it’s a safe bet that some of those musicians will be heard during
fashion week next February. (New York Observer)
