Show Review: Tracy Reese Spring 2015.
One may have immediately expected colorfully printed dresses from Tracy Reese’s Spring 2015 Ready-to-Wear Collection. And while she most certainly delivered, she also incorporated chic neutral looks, winning over fans of minimalism. Attendees were truly in for a show, as it kicked off with a dance performance that spoke to her inspiration for the collection: contrast and movement.
Although the show started with looks comprised of black and beige draping gowns, body suits, and oversized trench coats, the 47-piece collection subtly shifted to pastels and landscape prints, displaying a fabulous array of colors, patterns, textures, and combinations.
Model were accessorized by way of bright colored and embellished slide-style sandals. Their hair was sleekly tied back and held by a simple fabric headband. Makeup was kept at a minimum and eyes were accentuated by sharply drawn lines.
The prints that Tracy Reese is known for were layered fearlessly. From a desert landscape on a boatneck knit sweater to the classic leopard print on a front-zip skirt and florals throughout, these easy-to-coordinate separates were undoubtably ready for Spring.
Flirty sequined mini dresses, lace trims and overlays, dragonflies and separates in shades of bubblegum pink paired with belted and off-the-shoulder oversized coats made for a quite a dynamic and youthful collection.
It is no doubt that we will soon see dresses from the Tracy Reese Spring 2015 collection on the red carpet, and even more likely on First Lady Michelle Obama, who has long loved the designer’s signature printed gowns.
What do you think about the Spring collection?
