Rock It Or Knock It? Capes.
Capes have always been fascinating to me and they steadily give off this chic yet bold vibe. Yet, you have some fashion critics who simply refuse to rock the timeless piece.
So, I wanted to settle this (once and for all) with my Fashion Bomb readers. Let’s face it – not only will you remain completely honest but I’m more than confident in your fashion expertise.
Shall we start?
The beautiful Rosie Huntington-Whiteley looked cozy in the ever-popular Burberry Checked Cape! No stranger to flawless street style, the model paired her look with grey Christian Louboutin heeled boots and a beige hat.
Fashion blogger and style personality Sai Sankoh is the epitome of bad in her colorful cape! The breathtaking, Sierra Leoneon also donned a enviable pair of over-the-knee boots. How can you not love this?
Why stick to the classic silhouette of a cape? Go uncoventional! This style maven flaunted a creme, grey-trimmed option perfectly – she added a pop of color with a tangerine shirt dress and chunky heels. I can dig it!
Christine Centenera is always on point. The girl can make anything look amazing! In this shot, she’s combined leather pants, a black shirt dress and spotted pumps with a sensational white cape. Yes!
Zara is on board! The international clothing phenom currently has a wide variety of capes available, ranging from pattern-clad fabrics to simpler and more conservative alternatives. They’re definitely a one-stop shop for one of this fall’s hottest items.
Aside from the retail stores and street catwalks, it seems capes have hit the Fashion Week circuit as well! As one of the most popular brands right now, Balmain premiered its Resort 2015 collection and it was filled with tons of inspiration. In addition, this gorgeous beaded poncho cape was an instant standout. The colors are everything!
So, what’s the verdict? Will we rock or knock the capes this fall?
