Fashion Scoop.
- I’ve seemed to go on and on about the Scandal-inspired collection The Limited did with Kerry Washington and Lyn Paolo,
but it’s finally here! And if you’re swooning over the camel coats and
grey trousers, not knowing how you’ll ever change out of it when the
seasons change, never fear. Washington has announced that the
partnership will be reprised for both Holiday and Spring collections. As
to whether she would do her own line one day: “We’ll see. I’ve definitely been bitten by the bug,” said the head gladiator. (Fashionista)

- The latest fashion brand headed for a public IPO: Jimmy Choo. Set to
debut in London, the brand is targeting a market value of $1
billion–which is a whole lot of heels. The company is only putting a 25
percent stake on the exchange. In recent months, the brand has
redoubled their effort in the men’s market. (The Hollywood Reporter)
- Though Lena Dunham has an intriguing relationship with the fashion
industry, it seems that that’s what she’s chosen to be the focus of her
next project. Dunham will be producing a documentary for HBO focusing
on Bindle & Keep, a Brooklyn-based tailoring company that has a high
contingent of LGBTQ-identifying clients. Along for the ride, Dunham
has compiled a team that have worked on projects like Orange Is The New Black and The September Issue. (Vanity Fair)
- Another day, another Pharrell collaboration it seems. While the
fashion set was transitioning from Milan to Paris, the producer/designer
revealed a new collaboration with the trunk-maker Moynat. The
collection features handbags, silk scarves and leather pouches.Set
to hit Colette in Paris October 13th, the bags have train inspirations
and range in price, some coming in at $4,105 and others at $12,830. Care
to splurge? (WWD)
- Choupette, Karl Lagerfeld’s pet cat, is quite the fashion doyenne.
With a make-up line, a guest editor position and an owner who is amongst
fashion royalty, this isn’t some simple kitty cat. For the feline’s
latest exploit: playing muse to a capsule collection of totes, shoes,
scarves and other goods from the Lagerfeld label. The collection hits
stores in November so save up your coins and catnip to get your favorite
piece. (StyleBlazer)
