While the bride wore Oscar de la Renta to her actual ceremony, Amal Alamuddin decided to go casually elegant for the official civil union that would wed her to actor George Clooney. To that effect, the London-based lawyer slipped into a custom top, and trousers accessorized with a wide-brimmed hat and envelope box clutch all from fellow Londoner, Stella McCartney.While many indeed expected Alamuddin to wear McCartney — the “of the moment” stylish lady tipped her hand as she was spotted with bags from the designer — no one expected this. And while the two-piece suit itself can’t be bought off the rack, Stella does make a few pairs of wide-legged trousers for your perusal. It is a bit of a splurge at $835 but the high waist could be just as flattering to your figure as it is to Amal’s!
