Fashion Scoop: Rihanna Wins Case Against Topshop, Iman Joins Yahoo Style, and Vince Camuto Dies.
- Rihanna has been victorious in her legal battle against mass
retailer Topshop. The suit was centered around tees the shop sold that
featured a screenshot of the artist from her “We Found Love” video. The shirts have long been pulled from shelves (mostly purchased by customers). (WWD)

- After much speculation, Alessandro Michele has been confirmed as the
creative director at Gucci. Though Michele was said to have led the
design team in designing the men’s collection showed in Milan, the brand
maintains that his first official collection will be womenswear, next
month. (The Fashion Spot)
- Iman has now signed on as a contributor of sorts to Joe Zee’s Yahoo
Style platform. The supermodel will appear in a series of videos
discussing beauty and style tips for women “of a certain age.” The series is called Ageless Chic. (FishbowlNY)
- Though President Barack Obama’s speech was indeed stunning, there was another stunner at the State of the Union Address. I posted First Lady Michelle Obama’s look from Michael Kors
(it was her first suit worn at a SOTU) and it seems that the FLOTUS
effect has happened. At least at Nordstrom, the suit has sold out! (StyleBlazer)
- Last night Vince Camuto passed due to cancer. At 78 years old, the
footwear designer founded Nine Westin addition to the Camuto Group which
partnered with Tory Burch, Jessica Simpson, BCBG Max Azria, Banana
Republic, Ann Taylor and has its own eponymous line. Lately, that line
is expanding into an entire lifestyle brand. (Fashionista)
