Fashion Scoop: Jennifer Hudson To Join Iggy Azalea In Music Video, Isaac Mizrahi Launching Color Cosmetics, and Tory Burch Is Worth More Than $3 Billion.
- This weekend, Iggy Azalea turned up in paparazzi shots while filming a video for her latest single, “Trouble.”
Wearing a clearly 70s inspired look that could have had her walking off
the set of American Hustle, the rapper is joined by Jennifer Hudson
dolled up as a cop. And yes, if you were wondering, that waist is still
snatched! (Page Six)
- After 15 years of building a brand that was instrumental in spawning the “athleisure”
trend, Chip Wilson has relinquished all of his duties and roles at
Lululemon Athletic in addition to selling his stock. The final move to
complete the operation was Wilson’s resignation from his chairman seat
on Lululemon’s board. Don’t expect him to disappear though. The founder
is now focusing his attentions on Kit & Ace a “streweatwear” brand with amazing cashmere separates, founded by his wife and son. (Yahoo Style)
- Though his apparel business hasn’t always done the best, Isaac
Mizrahi is somewhat of an industry darling. We really root for him you
know? His latest project for us to rally behind: a color cosmetics and
skincare line called True Isaac Mizrahi. Debuting on QVC, IsaacMizrahi.com, and Beauty brands, the line compass lip, eye and face products and obviously pulls on his strong color sense. (The Fashion Spot)
- If you still watch America’s Next Top Model, someone in the latest
Diesel campaign may look familiar to you. Chantelle Brown-Young appears
in the campaign, easy to point out because of her vitiligo, but
inspiring of course because she’s still booking gigs! If you’re not a
fan of the show, what may stick out to you is the fact that all the
models are smiling. Definitely something sort of new for the brooding
Diesel brand. (Style)
- While her former husband flounders, Tory Burch’s best form of
revenge comes in making more and more little green pieces of paper.
While last week it emerged that Chris Burch lost $70 million that he
sunk into C. Wonder, Tory’s company is currently valued at $3.5 billion,
up a full $1.5 from 2 years ago. And it looks like they are still
headed on the up and up from here! (WWD)
