- Kimora Lee Simmons is going hard at this fashion thing. Her other
company JustFab is set to launch their first apparel collection on March
1, adding to their current lineup of shoes and handbags. The only
thing better than new clothes? New clothes under $50! Because the
company will now include handbags, jewelry, apparel and shoes, customers
will be able to buy the entire look with the suggested compliments.

- In what is the start of what we hope is not the signs of a slow
burning trend, Viktor & Rolf have decided that they will discontinue
the ready to wear arm of their brand. The label will focus on couture,
much like Jean Paul Gautier and cited deadlines and lack of creative
freedom as their reasoning. The brand will also continue on with their
very lucrative fragrance business as well as their eyewear license. (Fashionista)
- Want a body by Beyonce? Good, well this news item is for you! The
pop star just announced a new vegan food delivery service open to the
public with means starting at $9.75 a pop. The 22 day program
encourages customers to make better nutritional choices and hopes that
it will leave participants with good habits at it’s end. Looks like it’s
going to be all about health this year for Bey: an athletic line for
Topshop and now this. (Refinery29)
- The CFDA has some things to say to designers at New York Fashion
Week before things get started next week. Steven Kolb and Diane Von
Furstenberg(the reigning CEO and President) wrote a letter to the
designers basically telling them things they should and shouldn’t be
doing during the week. Amongst the things to do: make sure to request
more girls of color at castings for a greater chance of including them
in the show and make sure to look after the health of your models,
pulling them if they are too young or if they look unhealthy. (The Fashion Spot)
- Reports are saying that Adidas and Kanye West will finally launch
their confirmation next week at fashion week. After announcing a New
York -centric app called “Confirmed” that allows you to reserve the
collaboration, the company sent out an invite that has made the rounds
online. Sources say the debut could come as early as February 12. (Complex)
