Day Weekend Wardrobe: Elect To Be Fabulous

teewhy-hive.blogspot.co.uk
That long, lovely midwinter weekend is upon us: President’s Day Weekend. Clear the slush, and get excited because i’ve got ideas and ensembles. No plans? No problem. Get outside and enjoy ski season, visit that exhibit downtown, stay in and make a cherry pie, or ice skate with your squad.
Whatever cool adventure you choose, i’ve got style inspo to help. Because even though our forefathers may not have written it down, i'm pretty sure they’d vote for you to keep it chic.

SKI BABE
‘Tis the season to grab a pal and hit the slopes. Whether you excel at triple black diamond runs or looking lodge-hot with a toddy, this is a great weekend to get your ski on. Add some fuzzy gear and lean into the turn. Or the toddy.

STAYCATION CUDDLER
Recharge and refuel by relaxing. After the holidays (and the election), you’ve earned some. Stay in and stay casual but keep the fireside vibe sexy with a cozy knit or henley and jeans. Board games, rosy cheeks, and snuggle buddy complete the look.

CITY ADVENTURESS
A long weekend is a great excuse to visit a new city. While day-trippping, rock a ruffled sweatshirt to ward off the end of winter’s chill. Check out a new museum, hit up a café downtown, and do it in athleisure wear. Feminine and functional; just like you.

UPSTATE RUSTIC-CHIC
February is a great time to head out of town and go country. Post up in a log cabin or an intimate bed and breakfast. From long walks to cozy coffee talks, you can’t go wrong in a country cute-girl dress and boots. Top it off with a chunky knit, and let wood burning stove season commence.

ICE SKATING TWIRL GIRL
You may not have the triple axel, but you can definitely steal the style. Head to you your local ice rink, throw on a sweet mini, opaque tights, a turtleneck sweater, and pretend you’re Kristi Yamaguchi for the afternoon. But be warned, with looks like these, you’ll turn up the heat, and it’ll be spring in no time.
