The Topshop Unique Spring 2015 collection was inspired by reviving “the faded glamour of the British seaside.” This translated into a primary-color palette of vibrant reds and blues and sudden hues of yellows and greens. The collection featured wearable pieces that could be taken right off the runway and into the hands of eagerly awaiting.
The collection offered options for all hours of any given day, from short-shorts and off-the-shoulder tops with flirty ruffles, to sleek form-fitting trousers and oversized moto jackets. Bright colored pieces were accentuated by eye catching patterns and stripes.
Staying true to seaside style, looks were accessorized with dark shaded sunglasses, striped lace up wedges, and duffle style handbags. Striking silver emblems and pleats provided some variety before shades of emerald green, mustard and pastel yellow were introduced on the clothes and accessories.
The dresses upped the sex appeal as they shifted from asymmetrically ruffled slip dresses and pleated right-above-the-knee skirts to completely sheer pieces with strategically sewn on embellishments that stylishly left little to the imagination.
I could see certified Topshop fan Beyoncé in any of the frilly mini dresses or sleek tailored punchy jackets.
