All of fashion’s favorite trendsetters were Instagramming straight from the Kaelen Spring 2015 show at New York City’s Fashion Week. Designer Kaelen Haworth, who intentionally blurs masculine and feminine with classic and modern, wowed onlookers as she upped the sex appeal this time around. Floral backdrops set the mood for a flirty Spring collection, full of monochromatic schemes and minimalistic looks, both of which are in full effect this season. Models were draped in dresses and oversized pieces made of iridescent chiffon and knit-like fringe with strategic zippers.

A few botanical print pieces offset the otherwise neutral use of beige, black and white throughout Kaelen’s collection. Playing on the revived 90′s trend, dresses and separates featured a knotted waist that interrupted the boxy form.

Fabrics were effortlessly flowing and ranged from culottes, jumpsuits
and trousers, to long skirts, dresses and vests. Models were simply
accessorized with strappy sandals and delicate flower details woven into
their hair.

Separates were intricately detailed with floral laser-cut shapes.
Understandably, the most talked about part of the Kaelen collection was
the rug-like knit fringe added to the ends of jackets and skirts. And
to add a bit more flare was the zipper, that made all the fringe
detachable. You know, for functionality. Kaelen Haworth stayed true to
her aesthetic while still displaying growth and versatility in her
Spring collection, which is the first full showing for the up-and-coming
designer.
