teewhy-hive.blogspot.co.uk
Assuming you’re anything like me, after hitting the snooze button for the 11th time, you finally find yourself rolling out of bed. Like for real for real. You’ve got just a few short minutes post-shower to go from pitiful to presentable. This is going to take an act of God…AND a multitasking miracle. There’s no time for the 10-step routine today. Girl, no. I’ve got to go! Read on as i share the best beautification time-savers and hacks to get you out the door and looking amazing in a jiffy.

BODY
If you’re using more than one product to moisturize your situation from head to toe, you’re playing yourself…and wasting valuable time. A product for hair, one for body, and another for face? No way! Reduce your product load and save time with a do-it-all, fast-absorbing oil or balm that works for face, hair, body, even nails. Choose one that feels as light as air and does not leave behind a slick greasy residue. If your complexion is in need of a little boost, warm up a drop of oil and apply it wherever you’d normally apply a cream highlighter. Think: backwards “C” around the eyes, high planes of the cheekbones, center of the nose, dead center of the forehead, and at the cupid’s bow of the lip. Now you’ve got that model-off-duty glow. Go get ‘em!

Everybody’s doing it — the double cleanse. But does a girl really have time for, not one, but TWO cleansing products? Not today! So ditch your double cleansing products and simplify your sinkscape with these multitasking one product wonders. We’re still down with the double-cleanse result… but we like to get it done with one simple product that’ll remove makeup, oil, dirt, and tone the skin. Snap!

Just because you’re running late, doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice your skincare. Treat your skin while on-the-go with a nourishing facial spritz that can be tucked into your purse and sprayed throughout the day. Most are packed with antioxidant-rich botanicals and hyaluronic acid. They act as an on-the-go shield of antioxidant protection, face refresher, makeup primer, and instant glow-getter. For an extra dose of ahhh, keep it stashed in the fridge and do a spritz and dash before heading out the door.

Mario Badescu Aloe, Herbs & Rosewater Facial Spray ($7)

HAIR
You gotta get it together, but you don’t have much time. Typically, you’d use a styling product to smooth edges and tame flyaways. But it can do so much more….especially when you’re in a time crunch. Hair gel is also awesome at keeping unruly brows in place, or sculpting a slightly brushed up boy brow. Apply a tiny dollop to a disposable mascara wand or small toothbrush and work the product across your brow hairs to shape and set the most perfect eyebrows ever. Then add to your tresses and get out the door.

Got2b Glued Spiking Glue Spiking Gel ($6)
Bumble and Bumble Semisumo ($29)
Garnier Fructis Style Pure Clean Extra Strong Hold Finishing Paste ($3)
Let’s face it, wet hair happens. But there’s a fine line between carefree and completely careless. To flawlessly go from the shower to work with just a couple of minutes to spare, you’ll need to ace this wet styling hack and add a good styling serum to the mix. Save time and condition in the cab or car with an oil-infused styling product. It’s a great way to nourish on-the-go and add a serious helping of shine. For naturally straight hair, skip the blow dryer (because there’s no time!) and apply a styling serum from root to tip. Next, gather hair into a top-knot or off-the-face style. So chic! For coarse, textured, or coily hair, start with a leave-in treatment plus a styling serum and wet-set you hair into two Grecian goddess-inspired cornrows. Head out the door, and once hair is dry by end of day (or even the next day), unravel cornrows for a full head of voluminous waves.

MAKEUP
Remember watching mom use her lipstick on her lips, cheeks, and eyes? Who knew she was so ahead of her time. Borrow from mom and invest in a multi-use beauty bullet. Available in a wide range of bendable and highly buildable shades, you can color, contour, and add light to your face with just one product. And here’s a time-saving contour hack for you — Don’t have a deep contour shade? No problem. Just use your regular blush shade, but the hack is all in the application: target the temple, brow bone, and cheekbone. This placement warms up the complexion and gives the face a very subtle sculpting effect. You just might abandon the ‘old’ way of contouring after trying this trick.

TRY:
Bite Beauty Multistick ($24)
Nars The Multiple in 413 BLKR ($39)
Makeup Revolution The Oner Blush Stick ($4)
If skin is looking a little haggard and you need to achieve that just-left-the-spa glow in a hurry, reach for a glossy balm. The secret is to apply it anywhere that needs a little lift of light and luminosity; this includes the high points of the face, the collarbone, and décolletage. Want glossy editorial lids? A shiny balm can do the trick. And If you REALLY want to up your glow (to the point of making your girlfriends super jealous), use a glossy balm as a base before your highlighter and POW! You’ll be beaming from a mile away.

C.O. Bigelow Rose Salve (6)
Make Beauty Face Gloss ($25)
RMS Beauty Champagne Rosé Luminizer ($38)
