Is Queen Bey joining The Lion King?
According to Variety, Beyoncé is the top choice to voice Simba’s best friend Nala in the upcoming live-action remake of the animated Disney classic.

Sources say that the studio is ready to accommodate Bey’s schedule, especially since she is currently pregnant with twins.
As reported, Donald Glover is currently on board to voice Simba and James Earl Jones is confirmed to reprise his classic role as Mufasa.
Favreau (Iron Man, The Jungle Book) will direct, while Jeff Nathanson (Catch Me If You Can, Rush Hour 2) is writing. The movie is still in the early stages, but it’s reportedly being fast-tracked.
The 1994 original, which this reboot is based on, grossed more than $968.5 million, enough to make it one of the highest-grossing animated films of all time.
It follows recent several live-action remakes, including Alice in Wonderland in 2010, Cinderella in 2015, and Beauty and the Beast, which was released earlier this month. Queen Bey was seen attending the latter’s premiere with her family.
Queen Bey has some experience in the film world. In the past, she lent her voice to Fox’s animated film Epic in 2013. She also acted in 2009’s Obsessed, 2006’s Dreamgirls, 2003’s The Fighting Temptations, and 2002’s Austin Powers in Goldmember. She also unleashed a series of critically-acclaimed visuals along with her music, including last year’s LEMONADE film and album.
